July's Blog is live

Hi Reader,

This month I did something I haven't done before.

I co-wrote the Blog with someone else.

Debbie Bailey is a finance coach and over the past few months, as we kept bumping into the same theme from different directions, it became clear this was something to write and share together .

The July edition is called The Cost of Silence.

It's about what happens when financial pressure lands inside an organisation and nobody - not the team, not the managers absorbing it, not the leaders carrying both sides of it - has anywhere to actually talk about it.

Here's what's inside:

Debbie writes about the organisational reality most leaders are already sitting in.

Organisations cost pressures combined with personal financial strain.

I write about what operating in that environment does to leaders specifically.

Not the financial pressure itself, but what happens over time when carrying it becomes so normal that you stop noticing the cost.

And what it actually changes in a leader's ability to make decisions, have difficult conversations, and trust their own judgement - long before anyone around them notices anything is wrong.

We also end with four questions for you to sit with if any of it lands.

If you'd like to share it with a colleague or leader who might recognise themselves in this place, please do. It's written for anyone carrying more than they're able to name or quietly carrying alone.
